🌟 Continuing our celebration of Occupational Therapy Month, we are proud to highlight Jazzleen "Jazzy" Simioni, COTA, and the incredible impact she has made over the past 2 years.

Jazzy joined our team as a brand-new clinician, and it has been amazing to watch her grow in both skill and confidence. From the very beginning, she brought a warm, genuine presence to her patients. She has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable, heard, and truly cared for — one of the many reasons her patients absolutely adore her. 😊

💪 Over time, Jazzy has stepped into a more confident and authoritative role in her treatments, all while maintaining her gentle compassionate approach. She beautifully balances strength and empathy, making her an invaluable part of our team and a trusted clinician for those she serves.

🏕️ Outside of work, Jazzy enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new food spots and spending quality time with her husband and baby, reflecting her adventurous spirit and deep love for connection and family.

We are so grateful for Jazzy and proud to celebrate her during OT Month. 🫶

🎉 For Occupational Therapy Month, we are proud to recognize Lance Berube, OT, for his outstanding contributions to our therapy team.

Lance has been working for Life Care Centers of America for the past 5 years, including 3.5 years at Alderwood Manor in Spokane and the last 1.5 years at our Coeur d'Alene location. With 27 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Lance brings both expertise and energy to everything he does. He is known for his engaging, knowledgeable and fun approach creating a therapy environment where residents feel motivated, supported, and leave with a smile. 😀

Outside of work, Lance enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. He loves camping, riding his motorcycle 🏍️, and has played hockey most of his life, including at the collegiate level 🏒. We are grateful to have Lance on our team and appreciate the positive impact he makes every day! 🫶

Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶
