Your service doesn't end - it continues! We especially need veteran volunteers to support fellow veterans in their final chapter. Help coordinate military honors with the American Legion, provide veteran-to-veteran companionship, and ensure no veteran faces their journey alone. Who better understands military service than those who have served?

It can't remember that you take your coffee with two sugars and love stories about your grandchildren.
It can't sit quietly with you when words aren't enough. 🦋

The Crestee Awards were a hit!

Last week we celebrated our Auburn Crest team with our own version of the "Dundies" - personalized awards highlighting the unique talents, quirks, and personalities that make each team member special with all of our families in attendance.

From "Most Likely to Have the Perfect Snack Stash" to "Best at Finding Creative Solutions," these awards captured what makes our workplace feel like family. Because at Auburn Crest, we believe in celebrating the whole person, not just the job they do.

"The Wheels in Mrs. Hilderbrand's Class" - a story about inclusion, kindness, and seeing beyond differences. 🦋

Written by Linda Dallmann, a beloved local teacher and former Auburn Crest patient, this children's book was one of her final gift to educators everywhere.

As the new school year begins, we're honored to share this beautiful resource with teachers who shape young hearts every day. It's a gentle way to help children understand that everyone deserves friendship, no matter what challenges they face. 🦋

Linda knew that teachers need tools to build compassionate classrooms. Even in her final chapter, she was thinking of "all the kids from all the years" and creating something to help them learn together.

Today our team is diving into annual competency training - the required skills and knowledge that keep our care exceptional. “Butterfly Days,” are for training for bag technique safety protocols to oxygen handling, lab draws to infection control - these sessions ensure every team member stays sharp and current.

But this isn’t just about checking compliance boxes. These trainings help us serve our North Idaho community better, teaching skills that directly impact patient comfort and safety.

The photos tell the story: colorful educational materials, hands-on learning stations, and a team that approaches professional development with both focus and fun. Because when your work is choosing to live every moment, continuous learning helps you do it better.
