Whether you're boating, floating, or just playing near the water, safety comes first—especially for kids!

Here are some essential tips:

✅ Kids should wear life jackets at all times when on the water
🎒 Teach your child how to put one on and make sure they’re comfortable in it
📏 Check the fit—it should be snug, with all straps fastened
🚫 No water wings, toys, or rafts as substitutes—they are not meant to be safety devices
✔️ Puddle jumpers? Only if they’re US Coast Guard approved
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adults should wear life jackets too—for safety and to set a good example

As temperatures rise, so do the risks to your child’s health. Heat-related illnesses like heat exhaustion and heatstroke can happen quickly — especially in young children who are more vulnerable to extreme heat.

✅ Keep kids hydrated - don't wait until they're thirsty!
✅ Never leave children in a parked car
✅ Dress them in light, breathable clothing

Measles cases are on the rise in 2025, and it’s more important than ever to recognize the early signs. 🩺

🕒 Symptoms usually appear 7–14 days after exposure and may include:

🌡️ High fever (can spike over 104°F)
😮‍💨 Cough, runny nose, red/watery eyes
👄 Tiny white spots in the mouth (Koplik spots)
🔴 Rash starting at the hairline and spreading downward

Measles isn’t just a rash—it can lead to serious complications, especially in young children. If you suspect your child may have been exposed, contact your healthcare provider immediately.

✅ Vaccination is the best protection. Talk to your pediatrician about the MMR vaccine today.
