Both WestWind CDA and Osburn will be closed today due to a lack of power. Our phones are working but our internet is not so we are unable to access any schedules. We will be in touch as soon as we have internet again.

WestWind Wellness Clinic Shares Staffing Update and Gratitude for Team Member

WestWind Wellness Clinic is sharing a staffing update related to recent changes in funding and reimbursement affecting Community Based Rehabilitation Services.

Due to these changes, the CBRS Skill Builder position has been eliminated. This decision was made solely as a result of funding constraints and is not related to performance or conduct.

Alex has been an important part of the WestWind team. He is known for being a self starter, a supportive team member, and for bringing genuine care and compassion to the individuals and families we serve. His presence, professionalism, and commitment to our clients have made a meaningful impact, and we are grateful for the time and energy he shared with our organization.

While this change is difficult, WestWind Wellness Clinic remains deeply committed to its mission of providing accessible, high quality, and compassionate mental health services. Like many community based providers, we are experiencing the real world impact of funding and reimbursement decisions that directly affect services and staffing.

Members of the public who are disappointed by these impacts are encouraged to share their concerns with their state representatives. Constituents can contact their elected officials by visiting their state legislature’s website, using online contact forms, or calling their local legislative offices to express support for sustainable funding of community based mental health services.

WestWind Wellness Clinic will continue to advocate for policies that allow providers to retain skilled staff and meet the growing needs of the communities they serve.

We wish Alex the very best in his next chapter and would welcome the opportunity to work with him again should a position become available in the future.
