As your partners in health at Active Family Healthcare, we’re highlighting our local ski area happenings to inspire you to bundle up, head uphill, and get active outdoors this winter. Fresh air, movement, and community are powerful medicine. How lucky are we that where we live delivers all three?
SILVER MOUNTAIN
January 26th–30th | Military & First Responder Discount Week
All active, retired, and veteran military members and 911/first responders receive discounted $49 lift tickets with valid ID. A well-deserved week to enjoy the slopes.
LOOKOUT PASS
January 9th | Parker Subaru Ski Free Day
Free lift ticket vouchers redeemable today at Lookout Pass. A great reminder to keep outdoor recreation accessible and community-driven.
January 23rd–24th | Vandals Ski Weekend
University of Idaho alumni, students, friends, and family, grab your Vandals gear and enjoy discounted lift tickets, on-mountain meetups, après-ski gatherings, and the annual Wallace pub crawl (21+). Movement, connection, and school pride all in one weekend.
MT. SPOKANE
January 9th | Night Skiing Begins (Open Day & Night)
One ticket. Twelve hours. Ski or ride from 9am–9pm, with night skiing included after 3pm. Perfect for those short winter days. Night skiing runs Wednesdays-Sundays all season long as weather permits.
January 10th | Trick Dice Terrain Park Competition (11am–2pm)
Snowboard-only, all ages, free registration. Roll the dice, build your trick, and throw it down. Helmets required.
SCHWEITZER MOUNTAIN
January 16th–19th | MLK & Deschutes Red Chair Weekend
Torchlight parade, fireworks, live music. Keep an eye out for the Golden Keg while skiing or riding, it could earn you prizes or entry to win new skis or a snowboard.
January 23rd | Toyota Ski Free Day
Drive your Toyota, Lexus, or Scion to Schweitzer and receive one free lift ticket for the day. Tickets distributed at the Red Barn parking lot or roundabout. Valid January 23rd only.
Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, tubing, or cheering from the village, these mountain events are a reminder that movement is medicine, especially during the winter months! Be active, stay connected, and take advantage of everything our North Idaho winters have to offer.
