Meet the M.D.!👋

David Dance, M.D. is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and finished his ophthalmology residency at Oregon Health and Science University in 2009. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Dance treats cataract, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, neuro-ophthalmology, pterygium and disorders of the eyelid. He loves his work and the greater Coeur d’Alene community.

He and his wife have seven children. They enjoy backpacking, skiing and playing at the lake as a family. Dr. Dance also enjoys biking and running.

Dr. Dance travels to Guatemala annually to perform sight restoring surgery to underserved blind and visually impaired patients in need. Whether at home or abroad, he finds joy and satisfaction in his work to help other’s keep, maintain, or restore their vision.

Meet the M.D.! Coeur d’Alene native Dr. Alison Granier joined North Idaho Eye Institute in 2010 after completing her ophthalmology residency at UC Davis. She’s passionate about pediatric eye care, serving the underserved, and improving healthcare systems locally and abroad.

Dr. Granier is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Physicians for Social Responsibility, as well as the local Women’s Gift Alliance.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys yoga, cooking, the outdoors, and family time with her husband and two sons.💙
