The pandemic hit Tony and Vicci hard. Anxiety, depression, and pounds piled on, made even heavier by the loss of 12 family members in less than a year. They found themselves in a dark place, eating out of control and feeling desperate.

Who we are and why I have so much passion for Ideal Protein.

In 2008 after being a stay at home mom for 20 something years, I felt lost. My life revolved around my amazing family but they no longer needed me like they did. I realized it was time for me to do something for myself.

I decided to get a job so I could get out of the house. Being overweight, 44 years old and not much experience made me very nervous. I applied for a retail position and got it the same day, YIKES that was fast but I’m so glad I did it. I loved having a reason to get up in the morning, but sadly, something was still missing in my life.

I loved my job, but it was physical at times and I hurt all over. Deep inside I knew it had to be from being overweight. I had tried so many different ways to lose weight and never fully succeeded, I didn’t know what to do, in my head I gave in to the fact I will just be that size, (someone even told me that one day so I accepted it). That was until I talked to one of my co-workers. He told me I needed to go see his chiropractor for my pain. Well, I did and it changed my life.

I went to see her faithfully. She made me feel better, but it didn’t last. I was scheduled for an MRI on my hips but cancelled it twice. I knew deep down inside if I would lose weight it might help and I wanted to try that first, again I didn’t know what to do to lose it. One day I went into the clinic and noticed most of the employees were losing weight. I asked about it and was told I had to wait because they were “beta testing” it. I wanted to know right then what was going on, they were all changing weekly, it was so amazing. Finally, the news was released. They were bringing in a weight loss method called Ideal Protein. My Ideal Protein story started there and I never looked back.
