🏈🥗 Fuel your game day with a winning play: a healthy twist on a classic favorite, philly cheesesteak! Who says you can't snack smart while cheering for your team? 🎉
INGREDIENTS
▢ 1 lb skirt steak, thinly sliced
▢ 1 large onion, thinly sliced
▢ 2 large bell peppers, thinly sliced
▢ 8 large butterhead lettuce leaves
▢ 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
▢ 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
▢ 2 Tbsp olive oil divided (or oil of choice)
▢ 1 tsp dried oregano
▢ salt & pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil until hot. Pan-sear the onions until they are translucent in color, add the sliced bell peppers and oregano, and cook until tender. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and pan-sear the steak strips until golden brown in color. Add the salt and pepper, and the cooked mixture of vegetables. Mix everything and cook for a few minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
3️⃣Assemble your mixture into your lettuce wraps. Top with provolone cheese and fresh parsley.
