This is a kid friendly event.

Hello Deep Waters Followers!
I've got some updates for you💙
Firstly, I just want to personally thank all of those who came to our Vigil a few weeks ago. It was so good to see people who I haven't seen since last year, to hug on you and love on you and honor your babies with you. I was touched by your presence.
Next up, I'd like to update you on our bereavement box care package project! Last January we held a fundraiser and raised over $1,300 to curate and create care packages for women and families currently experiencing loss. We were able to put together over 30 boxes and distribute them to birth centers and midwives here in North Idaho. I also spent a good chunk of time curating a pregnancy loss journal, which is 60 pages and offers tons of resources, support and helpful journaling prompts for processing pregnancy loss and trauma. Thank you to everyone who donated to that cause. We've got a fundraiser in November with Texas Roadhouse and I'll post the details of that SOON!
Lastly, I am excited to announce that I am bringing the Pregnancy Loss Journal to another level, and it will be available for purchase on Amazon in just a few short weeks! This will allow us to reach more people, and provide more resources for those experiencing pregnancy loss all over the country and world! A portion of the funds coming in from Journal Sales will be put in a separate fund, consistently raising more funds to build more boxes. 🙌 This is how we will continue to provide care packages to those in our community.
I love you all greatly and am continuing to work towards building better resources and support for you.
Keep your eyes peeled for our next Fundraiser update and also the Journal Announcement!
Be blessed,
Bekah💙

FUNDRAISER for Bereavement Boxes
I would so appreciate it if you would stand in the gap with me to fulfill this need so that we can surround women and families during this devastating time in their lives and help them move through their loss surrounded by resources, support, love and compassion.
I plan to distribute these Bereavement Boxes to local birth centers & midwives and keep them on hand to gift to families that connect with me through Deep Waters Bereavement. Of course, these boxes will come at no cost to them, hence why I need help from you to raise the funds needed!
See the GoFundMe for more details!

As I took my birth doula & bereavement training through the organization Stillbirthday, I realized that there are little to no resources in the community of Northern Idaho to help bereaved families. A part of the training was to thoroughly research the resources in our community and the support groups were lacking, as well as support for in hospital care. So it became my goal to begin providing these resources in the way of support groups, bereavement doula care, and building other resources in our community.
As a birth doula, it was important to me to learn how to support families who experienced EVERY outcome of birth and that is why I began bereavement training. But now that I see this great need in our community, I am creating Deep Waters Bereavement to begin this important work.
Key support roles that I hope to incorporate are:
Support Groups: Right now I am hosting one group per month. I will increase the frequency if I see an increasing number of attendees.
Bereavement Doula Care: As a bereavement doula, I can enter the hospital and attend to those families who are experiencing pregnancy loss, miscarriage, stillbirth, or other fetal demise diagnosis. As of now, there is no program in our community providing this. Bereavement doulas lend a side of support that is not currently here. We have been trained in grief, mourning, emotional, religious, and cultural variations in loss, and are equipped to walk through this loss with the families in our community. My MAIN goal for this non-profit is that I can provide these bereavement doula services FREE OF CHARGE to those experiencing loss.
As of now, I have filed my Articles of Incorporation for my Non-Profit status. As soon as that is approved, I will send in my 501(c)3 paperwork.
Please reach out to me if you are experiencing a loss, I can plug you into support groups, and have so many resources to link you in to. You are not alone.
