Whether you’re due for a checkup or looking for a new provider, we’re here to help you take that next step.

What an amazing turnout at this year’s Spring Dash! We’re grateful to be part of an event that brings our community together in such a meaningful way. From runners and families to volunteers and local partners, it was a day full of energy, connection, and support for our neighbors.

Thank you to United Way of North Idaho for hosting such a special event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. We loved being part of it and look forward to next year.

A visit to the hospital can feel overwhelming, but our volunteers help make every experience a little easier.

During Volunteer Week, we’re especially grateful for all of our volunteers who give their time, kindness, and compassion throughout Kootenai Health. Whether they are greeting patients, supporting families, helping behind the scenes, or offering a friendly smile, they play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Their dedication helps ensure every patient and visitor feels cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. This week, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the volunteers who make such a meaningful difference every day.

Stop by the Café through April 22 to sign a thank-you poster and leave a message of appreciation for our volunteers.

Sixteen-year-old Sam Funk, a Kootenai Health escorts and errands volunteer, recently went above and beyond to help an elderly patient with a flat tire.

Sam changed the tire herself and refused any payment, accepting only a hug in return. It’s a small moment that reflects something much bigger. The compassion, character, and heart our volunteers bring to every interaction.

We’re so grateful for people like Sam who make a difference in ways that truly matter.
