What an amazing turnout at this year’s Spring Dash! We’re grateful to be part of an event that brings our community together in such a meaningful way. From runners and families to volunteers and local partners, it was a day full of energy, connection, and support for our neighbors.

Thank you to United Way of North Idaho for hosting such a special event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. We loved being part of it and look forward to next year.

Sixteen-year-old Sam Funk, a Kootenai Health escorts and errands volunteer, recently went above and beyond to help an elderly patient with a flat tire.

Sam changed the tire herself and refused any payment, accepting only a hug in return. It’s a small moment that reflects something much bigger. The compassion, character, and heart our volunteers bring to every interaction.
