Misty Lake LMP Helping people take control of their health through alternative therapies & self care education.

Getting started in the CBD industry can be easy, but BEING SUCCESSFUL in the industry is not for the faint of heart. Due to its currently unregulated status, there are a lot of hurdles and nuances that a business must overcome in order to maintain, grow and innovate in this burgeoning field as regulations are being put into place. Since 2014 I have researched, studied, taken classes on, tested and formulated Cannabis products that contained CBD. In 2016, I focused my efforts on Hemp-derived CBD due to their highly medicinal and non-intoxicating properties and really delved into how cannabidiol affects the endocannabinoid system. Along the way, I overcame challenges and it forced me to grow and change. Because of my background in medical massage, aromatherapy, and research on various medical conditions, I was able to formulate (and create a brand of) topical CBD products that are not only highly effective, but safe and provide longer lasting results than many products on the market. With the help of other industry experts, this experience led to further opportunities to share my journey and expertise through corporate consulting and working alongside one of the largest seed to sale organic hemp farms. I have been blessed to help build brands and relationships in the industry across the US & be sought after as a speaker for CBD Conferences & Hemp Conventions. Just as I have had mentoring and coaching along the way, I hope to help passionate people and businesses with purpose grow, overcome obstacles and succeed as well through coaching & consulting. Along with consulting I am also a community educator through public speaking, my podcast "Living with the Lakes", informational videos, blogs and webinars & classes.

I am taking a bit of a break in August.
Be ready for my next chapter in September...🤩

It has been an honor to serve you.

Did you know you can make homemade carbonated beverages with the natural yeasts that live on pine needles?!

You need sugar, filtered water and pine needles. We used red and white pine. Ideally, you want to pick the pine needles after a rain so they are as clean as nature intended; I do not recommend washing the pine because you want the yeast that naturally grows on them to carbonate your beverage. Add the needles to a clean jar with four tablespoons of sugar, fill the jar with filtered water and shake it so the sugar dissolves.

Place the jar in a warm place away from direct sunlight and leave it for three or four days, long enough for the little pine yeasts to carbonate your beverage!

Check out our blog post "DIY Pine Needle Soda" at the link below to read the full recipe.

As with any type of wild foraging, do not consume any wild products unless you have done appropriate background research to properly identify the plants you are foraging for. This post in no way replaces the need to properly inform yourself about what is native and edible in your area.
