Why this matters........
Wednesday, September 10th is National Su***de Prevention Day—a time to show visible support, reduce stigma, and connect people to help. Our teams wore purple and teal today to show our support for National Su***de Prevention Day and for Health.

Here are the facts:
• Kansas recorded an age-adjusted su***de mortality rate of 19.6 per 100,000 (latest state comparison table).
• Montgomery County’s age-adjusted su***de rate was approximately 34–35 per 100,000 (2021–2023), higher than the state average, underscoring the importance of awareness and connection to care.
