Grief is hard. Supporting your children when they are grieving the loss too is even harder. Show them it’s ok and normal to be sad. Model that emotions are natural. Talk about them. Honor their memories. Share stories, keep them alive in your hearts through conversations, laughters and tears. Protecting your children from experiencing grief is not protecting them at all. It just isolates them in their grief.

Spent the day in 5th grade presenting for career day and it was so fulfilling in so many ways.

Mamas who work, be proud of what you do and show it off. Your kids are watching and learning from you. I know it's hard to leave them, to find appropriate care, to balance your time, to get everything in...but don't forget to let them know what you do and why you do it πŸ’œ and be proud of yourself cause it is not easy

Here is a picture from one of the students

Practice what you preach, who finds this challenging?

πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ me, especially when it comes to working out. If you look at yourself in a holistic way you can really see all the parts of you that need attention and nurturing. And your body should not be denied. I get it. It's hard to find the time. I have struggled with this for years. Many many years. But here I am putting the physical health right up there with emotional, mental and spiritual health.

I tell my moms just move your body- use the stairs, go for a walk, stretch, practice some yoga, join a gym. Just get started and you'll start the see the other parts of you benefit too.

I'm so happy to have found a gym that I can feel comfortable and nurture this part of myself. Even if it's only a couple days a week-- for now.

How do you move your body?

Sometimes change can be hard and being uncomfortable can be, well, uncomfortable. My practice made a move to a different location, in a different town with a different vibe recently. And although there was a lot of back and forth externally and internally I told myself what I tell my clients-- it's ok to fear the unknown and to reach just a little out of your comfort zone. That's where the real growth happens. Here's to new beginings ☺

Who got snow this week?!
I am NOT a winter person. I mean, I love to enjoy a good snowstorm from the comfort of my warm sunroom, but I much prefer the warmer months. But I do thoroughly enjoy watching my kids enjoy the snow. And taking on a hill too ;)

What do you do with and for your kids in the winter months? Sled, ski, ice skate?

Are you a cold weather lover or warm weather? Is it in alignment with what your kids love?

Have you read this poem?
A client mentioned it in session and I have to say, I love it. There's always a long list of to dos waiting for us. But there's also a long list of can dos and fun things to do too. So remember this when choosing how you want to spend your time, and dust if you must.
