Independent pharmacies across America are fighting to survive.
For years, massive corporations and middlemen known as PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) have gained more and more control over healthcare — often controlling the insurance company, the PBM, AND the pharmacy itself.
This matters because it impacts patient choice, medication access, and the future of local community pharmacies.
Here in Kentucky, our legislators began taking action with Senate Bill 188 an important step toward protecting independent pharmacies and the patients we serve. We’re grateful for the leaders who recognized the importance of pharmacy reform and stood up for local healthcare providers.
But now, more than ever, it is critical that our legislators both locally and nationally continue pushing for meaningful reform that puts patients before corporate interests.
Independent pharmacies are not just businesses.
We are your neighbors.
We answer the phone after hours.
We deliver medications when patients can’t leave home.
We know our patients by name.
At Lifeline Pharmacy, we will continue advocating for fair healthcare, patient choice, and the future of independent pharmacy.
Thank you for supporting local healthcare. 💙
