Parents know best—and sometimes the best parenting advice comes from other parents. 💬

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received is this: every child is different. What works beautifully for one child might not work the same way for another—and that’s okay. As both a speech-language pathologist and a mom, I see this every day.

Hi, I’m Kendra! I’ve been a speech therapist for 4 years and have had the privilege of working with early communicators, complex communicators, and students with articulation/phonology, expressive and receptive language, social language, and AAC needs. I’m especially passionate about AAC and helping individuals find a voice that empowers them to connect with the world around them.

Outside of therapy, I’m a mom to two little ones and a football coach’s wife, which means you’ll usually find us at a sporting event! I love going on bike rides, swimming with my kids, and making crafts with my daughter. I’m so excited to help families grow in confidence and communication this summer!

The name Sunrise was chosen very intentionally. A sunrise represents a new beginning, and that’s exactly what I hope families feel when they start services. A fresh start, new progress, and the support they need as their child grows, communicates, eats, and gains confidence.
