On the last Thursday in June, the Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club will be having our annual “Healing Hill of Hope Ceremony” in honor of the children abused and/or neglected in our county. Our healing hill will be planted with American and Child Abuse flags, that represents a substantiated case of child abuse in our county along with the children in foster care. It will again be located at the Naomi Davis Shelter House. The Healing Hill of Hope is a stunning field of flags that will visually bring awareness to the large number of children who continue to be affected by abuse and/or neglect within our community. The Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Council is our Signature Sponsor this year. We need the communities help to reduce these numbers through awareness and prevention. Along with the Healing Hill of Hope we have our annual Independence 5K RUN/WALK AND 1 MILE FUN RUN being held o July 4th.

All The Early Bird Exchange club is getting ready for the 37th annual Independence Day 5K Walk/Run and 1 Mile fun run at the Naomi Davis Shelter House on July 4th 2024. The race starts at 8:30 with 1 mile fun run is at 8:05. It is chipped timed with metals for age groups and gender. The cost is $25 for the 5K, by June 25th, with $30 after June 25th. The fun run is free and you can register online at www.278safe.com/register. Refreshments will be served after during and before the awards ceremony.

All participants who register by June 21,2025 will receive an event t-shirt. For registrations received after June 21, 2025, t-shirts are available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.
