Canteen Services Since 1990, Canteen’s Correctional Food Services division has been the undisputed leader

Over the course of this time, Canteen Services has evolved from selling penny peanuts to being a major provider of food and commissary services to county jails, elderly nutrition meals, half-way houses, drug rehabilitation centers, and other at-risk population centers in Michigan, northern Indiana and northern Ohio. We offer the latest innovations in food services, technology, and equipment. We serve approximately 600,000 meals a month, and we do so at the highest levels of service and integrity. We service the nutritional and personal needs of inmates, seniors, and other at-risk persons, through cost-effective approaches, making us an industry leader in Correctional Food Service, Commissary, and Laundry Services. Our unyielding commitment to continual improvement and high-quality standards have built our reputation for excellent service and professional integrity. Security is a primary concern and top priority in any Correctional Facility. Canteen maintains strict procedures to safeguard every aspect of the commissary process; from warehouse to delivery to distribution, nothing is overlooked. Canteen provides secure chemical dispensing units that eliminate tampering and accidental spills. Through a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, Canteen reduces your repair costs and equipment down time. Inmate workers can take advantage of vocational training, including instruction on the proper handling of laundry and chemical supplies.
