Do you like to shop online? Visit our online store for your pets flea/tick and heartworm needs. All of our items come directly from our in clinic distributor to your home. You wont have to worry about receiving expired or fraudulent medications. Just remember to make sure your pet is up-to-date on their yearly exam and if ordering heartworm medication for dogs, a yearly heartworm test.
We may be thinking more about fleas and ticks as the weather warms but it's important to keep your pets protected year-round!
As the weather warms up, remember the importance of heartworm prevention in your pets! Check out this short video about the heartworm life cycle. The dog came in sneezing and with a runny nose. It cleared up with antibiotics but came back as soon as they were finished. We pulled this out of his nose. It would certainly make me sneeze!!

Grooming Assistant Needed – The Care Center Hospital for Animals is looking for a reliable, hardworking, part time assistant for our groomer. Applicants must be able to work Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, roughly 4 hours per day, starting at 7:45AM. Responsibilities include bathing and blow drying dogs and cats. This position will be physical due to standing for long period of time and moving dogs in and out of the bathtub. Reliability and a good work ethic is key for this position. We’re a busy small animal practice seeing 75% canine, 25% feline, and < 1% exotics in Coldwater Michigan. A fully integrated Idexx computer system meshes with in house and reference lab diagnostics as well as digital radiography and digital dental radiography. We work closely with specialists for advanced diagnostics and procedures when needed, and provide the best care possible for our clients and patients. Licensed technicians are utilized to use their talents and education, rather than just counting pills and cleaning poop.
+ Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures
+ Fill medications per the instruction of the Veterinarian
+ Collect and preserve laboratory samples that must be shipped offsite for more comprehensive testing
+ Collect and test blood, urine and fecal samples in our in-house IDEXX laboratory
+ Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored for a clean working environment
+ Prepare appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits
+ Ability to professionally communicate with clients and staff
+ Cross training in the event your needed in reception
Veterinary Technician certification or license
2+ years Veterinary Technician experience is preferred

The Care Center Hospital for Animals in Coldwater, Michigan is seeking an additional experienced groomer for both cats and dogs. You MUST have grooming experience. Formal training in pet grooming is highly desired. We are unable to train someone in grooming, so they must be able to work independently from the start.
* We supply the majority of all equipment needed to groom.
* The grooming space is a shared space with 1 other groomer.
* Commission based pay.
* You are not required to book your own appointments. Reception books and checks out appointments.
* Flexible work hours.
* You set the number of animals you would like to groom per day.
* We have a large grooming client base with the convenience of the veterinary staff to help with any medical issues you may encounter while grooming. (skin issues, ear issues, pet that needs sedation)
