🤯 Vertigo Myth vs. Fact… because Google and your neighbor’s cousin aren’t always the best doctors.

Myth: ā€œVertigo means something is wrong with your brain.ā€
Fact: Sometimes it’s just tiny crystals in your ear throwing a rave where they shouldn’t be. 🪩

Myth: ā€œYou just have to take medication.ā€
Fact: Your body might just need the right movements and therapy to reset your balance system.

Myth: ā€œNeck pain can’t cause dizziness.ā€
Fact: Your neck and balance system talk to each other… and sometimes the neck starts spreading rumors.

Myth: ā€œDizziness is just part of getting older.ā€
Fact: Nope. That’s like saying sore knees are just part of life and never doing anything about them.

šŸ‘‰ If the room spins every time you roll over, look up, or move your head… your body might just need the right assessment and a simple fix.

Don’t live in a world that feels like a carnival ride. šŸŽ¢

Come see us and let’s figure out what’s actually going on.

Dizziness, vertigo, or feeling ā€œoffā€? Don’t ignore it.

At Performance Therapy & Wellness, we focus on finding the root cause of what’s going on — not just treating the symptoms. What feels like vertigo may actually be coming from your inner ear, neck, balance system, or something else entirely.

The first step is a thorough assessment so we can determine exactly what’s causing your symptoms and the best way to move forward.

Many of these issues are very treatable once we identify the cause.

šŸŒŖļø Vertigo, Dizziness, or a Neck Issue? Let’s Figure It Out.

This week at Performance Therapy & Wellness, we’re focusing on something many people experience but often don’t fully understand — vertigo and dizziness.

With the weather constantly changing, shifts in high and low pressure systems can sometimes trigger vertigo symptoms. For others, it can be something as simple as rolling over in bed, looking up, or moving your head quickly that causes that spinning or dizzy feeling.

But here’s the important part: not all dizziness is the same.
Sometimes it’s:

šŸ”¹ True vertigo (inner ear related)

šŸ”¹ General dizziness or balance issues

šŸ”¹ A neck or cervical spine issue

At Performance Therapy & Wellness, we assess and treat it all. Our goal is to determine what’s actually causing your symptoms so we can treat the root of the problem — not just the symptom.

And the good news? Many cases are actually a very easy fix.

So don’t let it linger or continue to affect your day-to-day life.

If you’ve been experiencing neck pain, dizziness, or vertigo, we can help.

šŸ‘‰ Follow along with us this week as we share more information about vertigo and dizziness.

🦵 MYTHS vs. REALITY: Jiffy Knee Replacement 🦵

There’s a lot of outdated information floating around about knee replacements — and it keeps people stuck in fear.

Let’s clear it up šŸ‘‡
MYTH: Recovery takes 6 months or longer.

REALITY: With a modern approach, many patients are up and moving much sooner than they expected. The right plan accelerates the process.

MYTH: You won’t be able to bend your knee normally again.

REALITY: Restoring mobility is a top priority from day one. Early movement + intentional rehab = real range of motion.

MYTH: You’ll always have pain.

REALITY: The goal of a knee replacement is to reduce chronic pain — not live with it. When surgery is paired with progressive rehab and the right recovery tools, outcomes can be life-changing.

The difference?

šŸ”¹ Advanced surgical techniques

šŸ”¹ Intentional physical therapy

šŸ”¹ Strength training

šŸ”¹ Recovery technology

šŸ”¹ A patient who is committed to the process

The old narrative says ā€œslow and limited.ā€

The new reality says ā€œstronger, sooner.ā€

If you’ve been holding off because of fear — it might be time to rethink what’s possible. šŸ’Ŗ

What is the ā€œJiffy Kneeā€? 🦵⚔

The Jiffy Knee is a modern approach to knee replacement surgery designed to spare muscle, reduce pain, and help many patients return to function sooner than with traditional techniques.

By working between muscles instead of cutting through them, the Jiffy Knee can allow for:

Less post-operative pain

Earlier walking and mobility

A smoother early rehab process for many patients

An important reality check

Even with these advantages, the Jiffy Knee is still surgery.

There is still a significant amount of work done inside the joint. Bone is cut. Soft tissue is stressed. The body experiences real trauma—and healing still takes time.

While many patients regain function earlier, this is not a miracle surgery and recovery timelines are not identical for everyone.

Just because a neighbor, friend, or family member felt great and was walking normally at four weeks does not mean every patient will have the same experience.

What matters most

The Jiffy Knee has shown strong outcomes and often helps patients return to their prior level of function more efficiently—but it does not eliminate:

Individual healing differences

Surgical risks

The need for progressive, well-guided rehabilitation

Respecting the healing process is what protects long-term success.

At Performance Physical Therapy & Wellness, our role is to help patients navigate recovery safely—balancing early progress with smart rehab—so short-term gains don’t turn into long-term setbacks.
