Stevens Funeral Home has been a part of Coleman and Coleman County, Texas since 1889. The business started as a hardware store and mainly built caskets until the early 1920's when it became a separate business from the hardware store. In 1959 a new building was constructed and in 1985 a major remodeling was finished. In the past year we have made more changes and improvements in our facilities. Although our facilities are beautiful and we are proud of them, we are also proud to offer affordable, professional funeral service to our friends and neighbors. We appreciate it more than words can express. Please do not hesitate to call us if we can be of service to you in any way.

Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of John Mark Weatherred. A service will be held on Friday, September 19th, at 6:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 5:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at Scotty’s Bistro, 601 S. Commercial Ave, in Coleman. Wear your Mardi Gras colors!

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, located at 400 W Pecan Street, in Coleman with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery.
