The Mt. View Cemetery Association of Coleman County will hold a workday on Saturday, May 4, 2024, beginning at 8:30 am at the Mt. View Cemetery. General maintenance is planned to include tree trimming and clearing of the fences. The association needs help in the upkeep once a year, so if you are able to help, please come and bring yard tools. We also need help in the business operation, so please come and give your assistance. The association's annual meeting will be held that same morning at approximately 11:00 am, after the work session is completed. In any event the workday cannot be held at the cemetery, the annual meeting will still be held on May 4 at 11:00 am at the Hillcrest Church of Christ annex building, 304 West State Highway 153, Coleman (across the highway from Holiday Hill Nursing Home). Families with loved ones at rest at Mt. View Cemetery are encouraged to attend, as your input regarding the cemetery is important. Many improvements have been made in the past few years, including the dedication as a historical cemetery and installation of a historical marker and a beautiful new sign at the entrance of the cemetery.
