We want to alert our patients and community members about a Medicare fraud scheme that has come to our attention.

Several people have recently received Medicare Summary Notices falsely showing that your medical provider ordered tens of thousands of dollars in durable medical equipment (DME) and then says the patient has a balance of a few thousand dollars which they are supposed to pay.

This is fraudulent. Your provider did not order this equipment.

The company listed on these notices is Flexcare Medical Solutions.
If you have received one of these notices:

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING.

Call Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to report it as fraud.
After reporting, you should expect a follow-up call from them.
Contact our clinic so we can document the report.

Also, people receiving these notices may not even be patients of ours, which tells us this scam is targeting the broader community, not just our patients.
