February wraps up our monthly seasonal guides! ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’“๐ŸŽ‰

Just over a month away spring will be here, but for now the intense, bitter winter remains for us to continue to move slowly.

To channel our restless energy, this is the perfect month for planning. Plan your garden, diet changes as things bloom, a spring cleansing program, updated morning routine, plan to clean out your car or closet.

But at that same time, we can still embrace this short season with heavier meals that include meat stocks and sleeping a little longer.

This has been a long winter, but weโ€™ve almost made it! Be sure to continue to replenish your energy reserves for the busy times up ahead.

Thank you everyone for enjoying these seasonal guides the past year. There will be a continuation of these but in a class format, stay tuned for the announcement!

Health begins in the soil. There is much to rebuild.

The use of pesticides in agriculture has long been a contentious topic. While they may appear to offer immediate solutions, the long-term consequences are far more severe. As the United Nations report highlights, pesticides contribute to the deaths of 200,000 people annually, a number that continues to rise despite ongoing awareness efforts.

This grim reality is a wake-up call for all of us. Itโ€™s essential to reconsider how our food is produced and the impact it has not just on human health but also on the environment. Pesticides may promise to increase yields, but at what cost?

Many people ask exactly what I do so these come in handy to provide a concise summary. Copies are available at the Healing Hideaway in Coleman as well as Herbs Plus in Beaverton.
