We were honored to have nearly 90 people gather with us and over 160 names read during an evening of reflection, remembrance, and community at the 2025 Trees of Light and Remembrance Ceremony. Your presence made the night truly meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to Bishop Place for hosting us and providing a wonderful meal, to Neill's Flowers and Gifts for the beautiful centerpiece, and to the Threshold Choir of the Palouse for their musical talents that added such peace to the ceremony.

If you weren’t able to attend, there is still time to visit the Trees of Light. The trees will be on display at Bishop Place Independent Living in Pullman and the Whitman County Library in Colfax through December 31st. Blank ornaments are available at both locations if you’d like to add the name of someone you’re remembering this season.

May the lights continue to bring comfort, connection, and hope. ✨

This Veterans Day, we give special thanks to all who have served our country with courage and compassion. Your dedication and sacrifice inspire us every day.

We’d also like to send a big shout-out to the 5th graders at Jennings Elementary School for sharing their hearts with hospice patients across the region. Their beautifully colored poems and thoughtful notes of inspiration brought smiles and gratitude to so many.

Join us for a FREE community showing of Disney•Pixar’s Coco as we come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the lives of those we’ve loved and lost. Families and community members are invited to bring a photo of someone special to place on our community Ofrenda (remembrance table).

If you can’t attend in person or don’t have access to a printer, you can still be part of this remembrance! Simply comment below with a photo of your loved one, and Friends of Hospice will print it and place it on the Ofrenda for you. 💛

Losing someone we love is never easy, and grief can feel overwhelming at times. A grief support group provides a safe, caring space to share your experiences, listen to others, and find comfort in community.

Join Friends of Hospice for our 6-week Grief Support Group Series in Pullman, Thursdays from 6:00–7:30 p.m.. Whether your loss is recent or from years ago, you are welcome to come as you are and connect with others who understand.

Death Café is a space for open, thoughtful conversation about life, death, and everything in between. It’s not about agenda or answers, but connection, reflection, and listening. We hope to see you there!

As the mornings turn crisp and the leaves begin to fall, the blankets we give to hospice patients feel extra special. 🍂💛

Friends of Hospice loves providing cozy blankets to those in hospice care. They not only bring warmth and comfort, but also serve as a gentle reminder that people care. Each blanket represents kindness, compassion, and the simple joy of being wrapped in comfort.

💀☕ Death Cafe is back this Thursday! ☕💀

We had such a great time in August with amazing conversations and thoughtful reflections We’re excited to do it again!

Come join us for open, respectful dialogue about death, dying, and everything in between over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. No agenda, no judgment, just community and conversation. Everyone is welcome!
