Do you have a sore throat? Runny nose? Watery eyes 👀👀 we get it ! It’s allergy season & the pollen is at an all time HIGH 🤧
So here are 5 tips to protect your eyes from pollen during allergy season:
1. 😎Wear Sunglasses or Goggles
Shield your eyes from airborne pollen by wearing wraparound sunglasses or protective goggles when outdoors. This helps prevent allergens from directly contacting your eyes.
2. Avoid Rubbing Your Eyes 👀
Pollen can stick to your eyelashes and hands. Rubbing your eyes can worsen irritation and spread allergens. Instead, rinse your eyes with cool water or use lubricating eye drops.
3. Keep Windows Closed 🚗
Limit your exposure to pollen by keeping windows closed in your home and car, especially during peak allergy season. Use air conditioning with a clean filter to help reduce airborne allergens.
4. 🧼 Wash Your Face & Hands Frequently
Pollen can settle on your skin and eyelashes. Washing your face and hands after being outside helps remove allergens and prevents them from irritating your eyes.
5. Use Allergy-Friendly Eye Drops 😭
Lubricating or antihistamine eye drops can help flush out pollen and relieve redness, itching, and dryness. Look for preservative-free options for gentle, long-lasting relief.
Good luck out there ✊
