There Will Be No Love Dying Here

I was at the Gregory Porter concert last week and was inspired as he sang one of his well-known tunes, There Will Be No Love Dying Here. What an amazing reminder for us at this time.

Our world has been gripped by the same demonic energy that fueled the Trans-Atlantic Trade in human beings, colonialism, Jim Crow, and Apartheid. It is the same hate that elevates pedophiles as prophets and satanists as Christ-like. This energy is designed to consume us. It demands that we focus on division, despair, and destruction. It disrupts our dinners, steals our family time, disturbs our rest, and pulls us into an endless cycle of reaction.

However, what if we took that chorus and turned it into a Mantra? There Will Be No Love Dying Here.

Our focus would shift. What if we choose this moment to look within and took a definitive stand that our love, Black love, will flourish? We would know that healing our marriages, working through challenges, and ensuring that our families remain stable is our most powerful weapon against evil. Therefore, I say, let the devil show you who he is. I will be busy ensuring that, There Will Be No Love Dying Here.

What are you choosing to nurture in this moment, chaos or Black Love?

Happy New Year and Happy Haitian Independence day. This day has historically been a mixed bag for people of African ancestry around the globe. One that could spark separation from family due to 'sales' occurring on this day during the period of enslavement. However, more importantly, it symbolizes freedom and autonomy. Both the Haitian and Cuban Revolutions ended on this day.

At one point the ancestors were being sold along with cows and furniture (see the add below) and the next people got organized to resist systems of oppression and tyranny.

My challenge for you is to decide how you will live in 2026. Either as a victim of traumatizing circumstances out of your control or as someone who resists oppression at all levels

Join us this Friday for a critical conversation about women activists and Black Power movement leadership with Dr. Kenja McCray, author of ESSENTIAL SOLDIERS.

Our panelists will explore the indispensable yet often marginalized roles of Black women in revolutionary struggle—the ones who fed the movement, organized the people, and held the line when it mattered most. We'll discuss how patriarchy operates even within liberation movements, and why remembering these essential soldiers is necessary work for building the futures we need.

It all happens at 12pm EST on Facebook Live and YouTube Live.

You will not see me post much about what is going on in the government right now. I am intentionally not giving that succubus energy. From a spirit and psychological perspective, it is important to starve errant Ajoguns (enemies of humans) such as this. However, I thought that I should put out a little PSA.

I have said repeatedly that much of what we are dealing with is a group of individuals with antisocial personality traits. The defining trait of antisocial personality disorder is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others. You tell me, is that what we are dealing with?

Once you get clear about who and what you are dealing with, you can adjust your actions accordingly. Antisocial people crave attention. That is why the behavior continues and actually gets worse the more that situations are discussed. You must starve the demon and simply get to work. Don’t fantasize that you’re going to negotiate. Make simple yet difficult decisions and act.

This is definitely important

Some people are scared and confused right now. That’s because at some level they convinced themselves that getting out of this situation was simply a matter of appealing to the morality of those who benefit from their oppression. They failed to understand that those arguments have already been made and will never work on those happy to benefit while you do not.
