October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Early Detection is the Best Prevention

Take Action for Your Health:

Monthly: Perform a breast self-exam.

Annually: Schedule a clinical breast exam with your healthcare provider.

Mammogram: Consult your provider for age and risk-based screening recommendations.

Since 1989, breast cancer death rates among U.S. women have declined by 44%, thanks to early detection and advances in treatment.

CCHS’s Acute Care and Emergency Department teams are kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink gloves to show their support and raise awareness for breast health and early detection.
