August is another one of our 2022 Training Challenge horses who did not get adopted and is still looking for a home.

He's a 9 year old, 14.3 hh gelding who came to us from the Houston SPCA a year ago. He hadn't had a lot of good handling when he came to us and his Training Challenge focused on ground work with him. She did ride him a few times ba****ck, but she felt he was too nervous with the saddle and didn't want to push him just to be able to compete. (We appreciate that!).

He needs an adopter who can continue his training and get him going under saddle. He's got potential to do just about anything - he just needs someone who can invest the time to bring him along.

Since he didn't get as far as we hoped, we have lowered his adoption fee to $1,000 - and it will be half price if he's adopted by the end of October.

To mark the 21st anniversary of 9/11 we paid off the mortgages on the homes of 21 fallen first responder families across the country in honor of the 9/11 heroes who laid down their lives bringing others to safety when America was attacked.

Included in these 21 mortgages paid are the families of Wisconsin Fire Captain Brian Cecil Busch, Connecticut State Police Sergeant Brian Erik Mohl and FBI Special Agent Jimmie John Daniels. The 21 fallen first responders all made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. 🇺🇸
