Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag. We were so blessed to be awarded a few design awards this past week. While the awards are nice, the families who put their trust in us mean so much more than any award. Thank you so much to the Adcock & Ruffino families. And special thanks to the Never Forget Garden Veterans Memorial committee who allowed us to honor the Brazos Valley Veterans with this memorial inside of Veterans Park.

We were proud to help honor Donald Gale and Marilyn Jo Mitchell with this unique yet simple memorial, crafted in warm, bold Dakota Mahogany granite—a stone as strong and enduring as their love story, which began back in 1969.

Etched with a sunset above and the U.S. Navy Submarine Warfare insignia just below, this design is simple, yet set apart—a tribute to Mr. Mitchell’s honorable military service beneath the waves and the quiet strength of a life well lived.

Mrs. Marilyn’s name stands beside his, a reminder that this is more than a memorial—it’s a testament to love, faith, and family.

We’re grateful to the Mitchell family for allowing us to be part of this chapter.

It does not require a custom shape headstone to tell a story. Even a traditional shape monument and design can be made to tell a story like Mrs. Brewer. And for Peggy nothing does that better than a girl Bebopping the night away in a Poodle Skirt. This clean elegant design still stands out in the cemetery and will stand the test of time.
