We love, love, love when our patients post updates on their weight loss journeys! Keep up the amazing work Ada!! 💪

Hi all! I just want to give you an update on my progress. I am currently 4 months Post op and offically 148.6lbs. That's less than 2 lbs away from my personal goal! I now fit into large shirts (as opposed to 2xl and 3xl) and fit into 12-14 size pants. I am currently working on toning my arms up and continuing to get healthier and making better choices. May 5th, changed my life forever!

Today's spotlight on a CSSA employee is shining on Avery. Avery is Dr. Gochnour's medical assistant and has been with our office for 1 year and 9 months! Let's get to know her:

"Hey guys! My name is Avery but everyone at work calls me Guns. I'm originally from Houston and right now I'm in school working toward becoming a labor and delivery nurse. I'm really passionate about the field and excited for what's to come!
When I'm not at work or in school, I love to be outside doing something active like hiking, paddle boarding or even just touching grass and spending time with nature. I also go to the gym almost everyday and love to get my "pump" on. I also love spending time with my family and friends. Fun fact I have 7 siblings, soon to be 9!

Did you know general surgeons do several different procedures? Dr. Williams and Dr. Gochnour do many of the same procedures but they each specialize in different things. If you have any questions, feel free to call and speak to our clinic staff. They're always happy to help in any way they can!!

Before Dr Gochnour and the staff at College Station Surgical Associates; I was over 200lbs, suffered from PCOS symptoms severely, high cholesterol, low energy, severe depression and was just so disgusted with how I was looking. Here I am 7 weeks post op; 40lbs gone and I am so thankful to Dr G and everyone at College Station Surgical Associates; for giving me a second chance at life, a new approach at eating, confidence to be seen in public and most importantly; be seen as someone who mattered and not just another paycheck!
I so so glad I did the rny bypass surgery, Thank you so much for giving me back my life!
