We had a great time at the 22nd annual Surviving & Thriving breast cancer awareness luncheon again this year. We have seen first hand how Pink Alliance supports the men and women with breast cancer in the Brazos Valley.

Hi all! I just want to give you an update on my progress. I am currently 4 months Post op and offically 148.6lbs. That's less than 2 lbs away from my personal goal! I now fit into large shirts (as opposed to 2xl and 3xl) and fit into 12-14 size pants. I am currently working on toning my arms up and continuing to get healthier and making better choices. May 5th, changed my life forever!

Today's spotlight on a CSSA employee is shining on Avery. Avery is Dr. Gochnour's medical assistant and has been with our office for 1 year and 9 months! Let's get to know her:

"Hey guys! My name is Avery but everyone at work calls me Guns. I'm originally from Houston and right now I'm in school working toward becoming a labor and delivery nurse. I'm really passionate about the field and excited for what's to come!
When I'm not at work or in school, I love to be outside doing something active like hiking, paddle boarding or even just touching grass and spending time with nature. I also go to the gym almost everyday and love to get my "pump" on. I also love spending time with my family and friends. Fun fact I have 7 siblings, soon to be 9!
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me!
