Entering the plaza after days(daze) of walking a hundred miles (but who’s counting??) was a beautiful experience. I took a few moments to notice people’s faces as they finished - we had all walked our miles with different weights on our hearts and minds. But in that plaza, I we all had a similar sparkle in our eyes - beyond the tears, it was a freedom, grace, relief, satisfaction, community, JOY. I really understand now why people told me that you walk “your Camino”… It will be many more weeks, maybe months, for me to process all the ways I encountered God while walking the Camino de Santiago. I can say this for certain, the Camino changes you. Not overnight ☀️🌙 or like a lightning ⚡️bolt, but through a continuous, growing communion with the HolySpirit.🧎♀️➡️. All that to say, it’s been amazing and Buen Camino! And so much thank yous to my adorable husband who had said, “absolutely, let’s plan it. What’s a Camino?” ❤️.
