Mondays are for training, and that’s just what our members did. Last night, the crew set up rigging and re-familiarized themselves with low angle rescues. While this is not something our Members do often in the field, it is a skill that we don’t want to be caught forgetting how to do. Plus, the weather was beautiful and what an excuse to be outside.

If you would like to be apart of our Monday drills as well as serve the community, go to our website (www.collegevillefire.org) and fill out an application. You can also stop by on Monday nights or when we post our duty crews to ask questions and meet the Members.

potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become

🎆 🎇Happy Fourth of July 🎇🎆

The Members of the Collegeville Fire Company would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Fourth of July! If you go to any parades today, make sure you are well hydrated and protected from the Sun (that would be the bright orange ball in the sky we haven’t seen much of this summer). And who could forget grilling and celebrating afterwards? Unless you would like a couple hungry firefighters showing up, make sure you keep your grills and other cooking instruments well away from your house and garage. And please, leave the fireworks to the professionals. If you choose to use sparklers, make sure you soak them in water before you throw them away.

🚨🚨ATTENTION🚨🚨

With the upcoming 4th of July, many will be tempted by the allure of setting off fireworks and putting on grand (or not so grand) displays in their backyards. We implore you not to do so, especially in the Borough. Did you know that most occupied structures are within 150 feet in town? While we may be a fun sponge for telling you these things, we truly care about everyone’s safety. This year, leave it to the professionals to set up and put on the spectacular displays while you enjoy them with friends and family.
