Middle school can be amazing. It can also be a lot.

Friend drama. Group chats. Social pressure. Figuring out who you are while everyone else seems to have an opinion.

Teaching boundaries at this age is powerful. It helps girls:
✔ build confidence
✔ recognize healthy vs. unhealthy friendships
✔ trust their instincts
✔ speak up without guilt

At Blossom, we work with middle school girls navigating friendship shifts, social anxiety, bullying, self-esteem challenges, and identity development.

We help them feel stronger, calmer, and more secure in who they are.

If your daughter could use support, we’re here 🤍

A thought tornado is not just “overthinking.”

It is when one worry multiplies, speeds up, and takes over your nervous system.

It can happen before school.
Before a presentation.
After sending a text.
At 2 am when the house is quiet.

Your brain is wired to detect threat. Anxiety sometimes misfires and treats uncertainty like danger.

The good news is this cycle is interruptible.

At Blossom, we help kids, teens, and adults learn how to regulate their nervous systems and untangle anxious thought patterns before they spiral.

You are not dramatic.
You are not weak.
Your brain just needs better tools.

Friendships are supposed to feel supportive, not like a second job.

If you find yourself constantly analyzing conversations, feeling responsible for someone else’s emotions, or leaving hangouts completely drained… that’s information.

Healthy friendships feel steady. Safe. Reciprocal.
Not perfect. But balanced.

And if you’ve normalized being the “strong one,” the “planner,” or the one who always adjusts, it makes sense that this might feel confusing.

In therapy, we help adults unpack friendship patterns, people-pleasing habits, boundary struggles, and attachment dynamics so your relationships feel nourishing instead of exhausting.

You don’t have to keep carrying friendships that cost you your peace.

Elementary and middle school years are not as “easy” as they once were.

Academic expectations are higher.
Social dynamics are more complex.
Comparison starts earlier.

And kids often internalize stress without knowing how to explain it.

Our “School Is Stressing Me Out” group is designed specifically for ages 8 to 12. It blends practical coping skills with peer support in a structured, therapist-led environment.

We focus on test anxiety, peer conflict, emotional regulation, and building real confidence that carries into the classroom.

If your child is dreading school, melting down after homework, or talking negatively about themselves, this could be a powerful next step.

You do not have to wait until stress turns into something bigger.

Finding the right therapist matters.

If you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, affirming care isn’t a “bonus” — it’s foundational.

Therapy should never feel like you’re being analyzed for your identity. It should feel like a space where you can exhale.

Affirming therapy recognizes the impact of minority stress, family dynamics, systemic barriers, and identity exploration without pathologizing who you are.

You deserve support that validates your experience and helps you build a life that feels authentic and aligned.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this could be your sign. 🤍

If you have ever wondered what actually happens in a play therapy room, you are not alone.

It can look simple on the outside. Toys. Art supplies. Games. Imagination.

But beneath the surface, your child is practicing emotional expression, problem solving, regulation, and resilience.

Children do not process stress the same way adults do. They do it through movement, creativity, and symbolic play. A trained therapist knows how to gently guide and interpret this process in developmentally appropriate ways.

At Blossom, play therapy is structured, intentional, and grounded in evidence based practice. We partner with parents so progress continues outside of the therapy room.

Support early. Build strong emotional foundations for life.

Teen breakups are not “dramatic.” They’re developmental.

For many teens, it’s their first experience with:
• deep attachment
• vulnerability
• rejection
• identity in a relationship

That’s a lot for a nervous system that’s still developing.

Heartbreak can show up as anxiety, mood swings, isolation, irritability, or even a drop in grades. It’s not weakness. It’s a nervous system trying to process loss.

Therapy helps teens:
✨ rebuild confidence
✨ understand attachment patterns
✨ regulate overwhelming emotions
✨ develop healthy relationship skills for the future

If your teen is struggling after a breakup, support matters. And the earlier they learn healthy coping skills, the stronger their future relationships will be.

We’re here when you’re ready. 🤍

Now accepting clients ✨ Meet Shayna Finn, LAPC

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by career uncertainty, big life transitions, anxiety, or identity questions you cannot quite put into words… this is your reminder that you do not have to figure it out alone.

Shayna works with young adults, adults, and seniors who are:
• Navigating major life changes
• Managing anxiety or ongoing stress
• Exploring identity and purpose
• Feeling stuck and craving clarity

Her style is warm, thoughtful, and deeply collaborative. That means therapy with Shayna is not about someone telling you what to do. It is about creating space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore your goals and move forward with more confidence.

If you are high achieving but secretly exhausted…
If you are in a transition season and questioning everything…
If you just want a steady, compassionate space to sort through your thoughts…

This could be your next right step.

Let’s normalize this: most couples were never actually taught how to talk about s*x.

So we guess. We assume. We avoid.
And then we feel rejected, pressured, disconnected, or confused.

Healthy s*xual communication is less about performance and more about emotional safety, clarity, and honesty.

It’s okay to want more connection.
It’s okay to need reassurance.
It’s okay to have different levels of desire.

What matters is how you talk about it.

If this is a conversation that keeps going sideways in your relationship, therapy can help you move from defensiveness to understanding.

Intimacy isn’t just physical. It’s emotional safety too.

One of the most common things we hear in therapy is:

“It wasn’t that bad.”
“Other people have it worse.”
“I should be over it by now.”

Trauma is not defined only by the event. It is defined by the impact.

It is about how your brain and body stored the experience. For some, that shows up as anxiety and hypervigilance. For others, it looks like emotional shutdown, irritability, or difficulty in relationships.

There is no single presentation.

At Blossom, we approach trauma with sensitivity, education, and nervous system-informed care. Healing is not about reliving everything at once. It is about building safety, regulation, and stability first.

If something still feels heavy, it deserves attention.
