Ever wonder what are some small ways we can notice the difference between God's love vs. Self love?

There's only one kind of love: God's love. Everything else is just selfishness dressed up.

Why is that?

God's love is characterized by one main thing: selfLESSness

A common refrain in Christian circles is "More of You(referring to Jesus) and less of me" What does this mean?

The Bible says in Romans 3:12 "They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

Without God there is nothing good! There is no love. So in order to understand God's love we need to surrender in humility and ask God to fill us with a love only He can give, true love.

Here are just a few things we can look at in ourselves and see, am I operating out of God's love or Self love?

Dying to self looks like this…

When your good is spoken of as evil...
When your wishes are ignored...
When your advice is dismissed...
When your opinions are ridiculed...

…and yet —
🔥 you don’t let anger rise,
🔥 you don’t fight to be understood,
🔥 you don’t rush to defend yourself.

You bear it silently.
You endure it patiently.
You lay it all down at the feet of Jesus.

That’s not weakness —
That’s the strength of one who’s been crucified with Christ.

🕊️ True surrender isn’t loud. It’s quiet, still, and powerful.

🗣️ Talking Too Much? It Might Be Pride.

"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise" — Proverbs 10:19 📖

Ever catch yourself talking just to fill the silence? Or saying too much without really listening? The Bible warns us that an abundance of words often leads to sin—and at the root of it can be pride.

Pride makes us feel like we always need to be heard, have the last word, or prove our point. But wisdom teaches us to pause, listen, and speak with humility.

🙌 Let's seek God’s wisdom in our conversations—speaking with grace rather than boasting, and listening with humility rather than pride.
