Running is a repetitive high impact movement. Overtime it breaks your body down if you don’t have the muscular strength to support it. That’s why smart runners lift. Not to bulk up but to build stability, power and resilience. Strong glutes, hamstrings, and core muscles reduce the load on your joints. They help you maintain form deep into a race. They keep injuries like IT band syndrome, shin splints, and runners knee at bay. And yes, strength makes you faster too. Better push off. Better efficiency. Better overall economy. 🏃🏻‍♀️

You don’t need a fancy gym or complex plan. Just master the basics: squats, deadlifts, lunges, planks, and calf raises. Two sessions a week 30 to 45 minutes each can be enough to change your running life.💪

As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I will be collaborating with Dr. Tse and The Gynecology Spot in Southlake to provide our patients evidence-based care and a path to overall health and wellness. ✨

Pelvic Floor related conditions that can be treated with physical therapy may include urinary or f***l incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, dyspareunia (painful in*******se), pain related to pregnancy/postpartum, diastasis recti, pelvic pain syndromes, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Office visits can include, but are not limited to, education in pelvic anatomy, lifestyle modifications, and home programs, orthopedic examination, internal/external examination of the pelvic floor musculature and anatomy, and manual treatment to address joint or muscle dysfunction.

I’m so excited to share that Tru PT & Wellness will now be offering massage therapy services! ✨ With 11+ years of clinical massage experience, our massage therapist Jenni brings a powerful mix of skill and intuition to every session. She specializes in medical massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, hot stone, and hot bamboo techniques—blending therapeutic results with deep relaxation. 🌿

Jenni has worked alongside physical therapists for years to help clients recover from pain and injury, improve mobility, and feel their best. We’re so excited to welcome her to Tru PT!
