If your toddler climbs everything… congratulations — they’re doing important brain work. 😅
Climbing helps toddlers build core strength, confidence, motor planning, and body awareness — skills they’ll later rely on for handwriting, attention, and emotional regulation.
From an OT lens, climbing isn’t “dangerous behavior” — it’s development in action. When kids miss out on climbing experiences, we often see posture, endurance, and coordination challenges show up later.
✨ Let them climb safely now to support learning later.

Walking isn’t the finish line — it’s the starting point.
Toddler walking is about so much more than getting from point A to point B. Every step builds balance, body awareness, and the strength kids later need to sit, focus, and learn.
If your toddler seems wobbly, cautious, or extra tired with movement, that’s not a red flag — it’s a sign their body needs more practice. And the best part? These foundations are built through simple, everyday play.
✨ More movement now = fewer struggles later.

If reading and handwriting feel HARD, your child may need more than practice—they may need better foundations 🧠✏️
ATNR (fencing reflex) can interfere with midline crossing, posture, and smooth eye tracking.

More movement — think better.
Movement isn’t a reward or a break for kids in general, and ADHD kids in particular.
It’s how their brains regulate, focus, and learn.
Purposeful movement increases the brain chemicals needed for attention and emotional control — and that’s exactly what we target in our Movement classes.
✨ Let movement do the heavy lifting this year.

If your child is jumpy, easily startled, or overwhelmed—this may be nervous system stress, not defiance 💚
The Moro reflex (startle reflex) can keep kids stuck in “alarm mode,” especially with ADHD or sensory sensitivity.
Movement + heavy work can help reset and regulate.

Primitive reflexes are normal — they’re part of infancy and early brain development 🧠💚
But they’re meant to integrate as children grow. When they don’t, it can show up later as:
😵‍💫 clumsiness and coordination struggles
✏️ handwriting fatigue or messy writing
🪑 slumping and poor posture
💥 big emotions / quick reactions
👀 trouble tracking while reading
It important to know that this isn't laziness. It’s a nervous system working overtime.
Movement can help.
Play-based activities like cross crawls, animal walks, rolling, and core strengthening support the brain in building stronger foundations.
