We’re continuing our Resident Spotlight Series today with Herb Barnett!

Herb Barnett and his wife, Fran, were among the first residents to move to The Farms in 2017. After Fran passed away in 2022, he reflects on their move, “We’ve never regretted our decision.” A Navy Vietnam veteran, Herb’s career began in the food production industry, retiring as a plant manager at Fleischman’s yeast plant in Memphis in 2002. Herb enjoys vegetable gardening (his dill pickles are well known!) and being active in the Chimney Park Posse, a group of Farms residents that walk every weekday morning to the Bistro for breakfast.
