The throat chakra is the 5th energy center from the bottom, located at the neck, in the region of the cervical vertebrae, and it reaches from shoulders all the way up to medulla oblongata (part of the brainstem).

The Sanskrit name for a throat chakra is ‘Vishuddha,’ which means “purification” as it is where higher spiritual energy is channeled into the physical body.

Solar plexus chakra is the third chakra from the bottom, located in the stomach area, a couple of inches above the navel.

Healthy solar plexus chakra vibrates to the color of yellow, with fire as its dominant element. The Sanskrit name for solar plexus chakra is 'Manipura', which translates to “city of lustrous jewels”, where mani means jewel, and pur means city.

Solar plexus chakra is also called Mani Padma (jeweled lotus) or Nabhi Padma (navel lotus). You can think of your third chakra as a glowing, yellow Sun, which radiates through the center of your body and rules all aspects of your personal power.

So, what is the relationship between solar plexus chakra and the other, lower chakras?

When you put together a matter (root chakra) and movement (sacral chakra) - you will find that they create a third state: energy. With the assistance of solar plexus chakra, all of your creative dreams harbored in your sacral chakra can be externally manifested.

The sacral chakra is the second chakra in your body’s chakra system. It’s associated with your emotional body, creativity, and sensuality.

The sacral chakra’s energy is characterized by flexibility and flow. Its function is guided by the principle of pleasure.

This chakra is also known as Swadhisthana in Sanskrit, and it’s located in the lower abdomen, just below the tailbone.

It’s the chakra that’s closely associated with emotional responses and often described as the seat of emotions. It’s also connected with the sense of taste and with the reproductive functions.

Since it’s a close neighbor of the root chakra, it’s just one step removed from your preoccupations about safety, survival, and the instinctual sensory perception of your environment.

The sacral chakra lets you creatively deal with what comes out of your experiences and develop a response that’s influenced by your intelligence and emotional patterns.

Because of the sacral chakra’s close physical connection with the pelvis and the reproductive organs, this chakra is also the center of your discovery for pleasure, whether through sensual pleasure or your daily life experiences.

An abundant creativity and strong intuition are just two of the wonderful gifts that this chakra can bestow on you.

The sacral chakra’s motto is to enjoy life fully. An open and balanced chakra will allow you to experience intimacy and love fully and freely.

It will encourage you to be honest and non-judgmental about your desires, and to live your life as authentically as possible.

The root chakra is associated with the feeling of being grounded, and it represents your passions. It’s located at the base of the spine and is associated with the color red. When the root chakra is underactive, it indicates that you are feeling tired, weak, or unmotivated. You can also be feeling pain on your legs or your lower back. You are also most likely suffering from immune-system disorders. Often you find yourself going into survival mode. If your root chakra is weak, you feel unhappy and dissatisfied with your body shape or size. You also feel like you are not in control of your life. If your root chakra is overactive, you often explode furiously even at the smallest things. When the root chakra is open, you feel right at home in your body. You are full of life, and you feel empowered.
