Spring Native Plant Sale - Pinelands Alliance

Date: April 24th from 3 pm to 6pm, AND April 25th from 9am to 12 noon

Get wild with native plants this spring! Native plants are great for your yard and for wildlife but they can be hard to find. We can help. Find plants native to the Pine Barrens and South Jersey at our spring native plant sale.

On April 24th, current members of the Pinelands Alliance are invited to attend this special preview plant sale. If you are not a member but want to attend early, please become a member today! April 25th is open to the public.

After Collingswood lost its well-loved Haddon Ave. sanctuary, neighbors are rebuilding a quieter refuge along Newton Lake, powered by volunteers, native plants, and grants.

The New Jersey Invasive Species Management Act (A4137/S1029) passed the Assembly and Senate with no opposition and is now again sitting on Governor Murphy’s desk. Thank you to everyone who called in, wrote, or texted. A previous version of this bill passed both houses of the legislature unanimously in 2023, only to be vetoed by Governor Murphy. He signed a bunch of bills the other day, but is sitting on this one with no explanation.

Make no mistake, invasive species are a top environmental issue, rivalling climate change and pollution. Unlike most states, New Jersey does not have a law regulating invasive plants.

Please help by calling, texting, or writing. Calling is best, but be prepared; you may be put on hold. We hear the music is tolerable.
