Annual Skills Fair Helps ALC Staff Stay Sharp
Arrington Living Center is hosting its Annual Skills Fair—a hands-on training event designed to keep staff up to date on the latest clinical techniques, safety protocols, and facility policies - this week in the ER Classroom.
Held over two days, yesterday and today until 6:00 p.m., the fair featured a series of interactive stations staffed by department leads and clinical educators. Each station focused on a core competency or new update, such as infection control, fall prevention, proper lifting techniques, dementia care, and medication administration.
Staff members rotated through the stations in small groups, completing short demonstrations and knowledge checks. In addition to being an educational opportunity, the fair also brought a spirit of camaraderie and fun, complete with snacks, refreshments, and prizes.
By investing in regular training and development, ALC remains committed to excellence in care and safety for both its residents and staff.
