Are your hospitals paying attention to cranioplasty materials and infection rates?

A meta-analysis assessing the relationship between materials and complications of
cranioplasty determined PEEK to have the lowest risk of cranioplasty revision.
PEEK, PMMA, HA, Ti, and autologous bone were evaluated over 31 studies and 5345 cranioplasties.
PEEK had the lowest risk of revision surgery at 5%, with a 95% confidence level.
