What is a “mini stroke”? Dr. Christopher Glisson, Medical Director at Warren Neuroscience Institute, explains how a TIA (transient ischemic attack) can look like a stroke—but symptoms disappear fast.

⚠️ Signs to watch for:
• Sudden numbness or weakness
• Slurred speech
• Blurred vision or dizziness

Even if symptoms fade, a TIA is a serious warning sign that a major stroke could follow.

What an incredible day! Kids ages 6–13 showed up ready to swim, bike, and run their hearts out at Health Zone at Saint Francis. From the cheering families to the proud high-fives at the finish line—it was a day full of energy, smiles, and unforgettable moments.

👏 Huge thanks to all the participants and families who made this event such a success. We loved seeing the confidence, determination, and joy on every young athlete’s face.

This tiny implantable sensor allows us to detect early signs of heart failure—before symptoms even begin—helping reduce hospitalizations and improve our patients’ quality of life.
