There really is no reason to buy processed bread from the store when you can buy the best bread from .

Benefits of Sourdough bread:
1. Reduced sensitivity to gluten
2. The fiber in sourdough acts as a prebiotic, which means a healthy gut
3. The fermentation process makes it easier to digest
4. Lower glycemic index
5. Contains higher amounts of vitamins and minerals
5. It is absolutely delicious

The perfect high protein sweet treat!!
Looking for a way to add protein and satisfy your sweet tooth
Recipe ⬇️

2 cups Greek yogurt
2 cups whipped cottage cheese
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4- 1/2 cup honey (depends on how sweet you want it)
1/4 cup protein powder of choice(I use unflavored)
2 tsp vanilla bean paste
2tsp cinnamon
2 cups diced fruit of choice
2 tablespoons chia seeds
4 squares dark chocolate
1 tsp coconut oil or olive oil

Mix yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter, protein powder, cinnamon, honey and vanilla bean paste. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and evenly spread out.
Melt oil with chicken until fully melted
Top spread with fruit, chia seeds and drizzle with chocolate.

Freeze for 2 hours, break into pieces and keep in freezer.
Enjoy

Getting in all your veggies and protein can be challenging some days, right?

Soup can be a great way to incorporate both and set you up for a few extra lunches for the week.

I love Broccoli Cheddar soup, and it is a great way to add extra veggies and protein.
I use carrots, celery, broccoli, and cauliflower for veggies.
Then, I use whipped cottage cheese and chicken bone broth to amp up the protein (if you are a vegetarian, you can sub bone broth for veggie stock and use pureed white beans for extra protein).

Bonus tip: Do not use bagged shredded cheese. Always shred your own. It is actually more cost-effective as well.

Part of my current health journey is to take time each morning and learn how to meditate (trust me, for someone like me, that is very hard).

Meditation is different for everyone, I'm starting with 10 minutes of breathing and positive affirmations followed by some light reading(cookbooks for me)and a good cup of coffee!

Meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety, help you sleep better, lower inflammation and blood pressure, and increase self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Try it out, start with 5 minutes a day even and slowly find ways to help you take some time for yourself and find some peace in your day.

Say hello to what I call clean the fridge out salad.👋👋🥗

I always have a ton of veggies in my fridge left over from other meals or stuff I forgot to use up, so instead of tossing those last 2 carrots or celery, or the half head of lettuce, let's turn it into an amazing mix of vitamins, minerals, gut healthy deliciousness that you can eat on all week.

This salad has romaine, radicchio, nappa cabbage, celery, celery leaves, fresh dill and parsley, carrots, red onion, and raw asparagus I finely chop it all up, mix, and cover with a damp towel to keep fresh.

Now the bulk of a great meal is ready, then just top it with whatever you want, avocado, artichokes, cheese of choice,chicken, ground taco meat for a quick taco salad, my favorite are some spicy Applegate chicken bites, also don't forget to add the crunch, some toasted nuts or crispy sourdough crumble with lemon zest(my fav). Salads are all about putting g on it, whatever makes you happy.

Top with your favorite homemade(cause it tastes better and is better for you) dressing.

Closing the kitchen has been an extremely hard chapter in my life. The last few weeks have been about reflecting on all of this amazing journey but also on what is next for me.

I have spent a lot of time soul searching and getting back to making time for my own health, both physical and mental

I am not sure exactly what is next, but keep an eye out as I would love to have you go on this next journey with me.
Look for recipes, videos, health, and wellness tips, watch my journey with weight loss in my 40s, and go along with me as I work on my master nutrition coaching.
Also, I see some cookbooks in my future.

Thank you all so much, and I truly miss you all.

Today’s post is one I’ve been putting off for a while, but it’s time to finally share it.

Plan Shop Live has been an incredible journey- one I never imagined would become a reality. So many of us have dreams and ideas, but not everyone gets the chance to bring them to life. We were lucky enough to see ours unfold, and we’ll forever be grateful for that.

But here’s the thing about dreams: when they become realities, the hard work really begins.

Owning a small business is not for the faint of heart, and we’ve fought through some of the toughest times, both personally and economically. But we’ve always remained committed to our mission of providing healthy, delicious meals to our community, food that makes you feel good. We’ve had to pivot, rethink, and adapt, but we always stayed true to our goals.

With a heavy heart, we want to let you know that our lease at the kitchen is ending and Bobby has been offered a great opportunity that will bring much-needed comfort and security to our family. After much consideration, he’s accepted the position, and as a result, we will be closing the kitchen.

This week will be our last week serving food and we want to thank every one of you who have supported us over the years. We’ve loved feeding you, hearing your kind words, and being a part of our lives. My heart is broken, but I am incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished. Even the struggles made us stronger; we will carry that with us forever.

The Speakeasy will remain open for now, and we hope you’ll continue to support us there for great drinks, good company, and the loosest slots.

Please stop by this week to enjoy one last meal with us as we wind down this chapter.

As for what’s next for me, I’m not sure where the path will lead, but I know I’ll always be connected to health and wellness in some way, and I’ll find new ways to use my creativity.

Thank you for your love, support, and encouragement throughout this journey.

Also, a special thanks to our families and friends who have constantly supported us, and rallied around us none of this would even be possible without you all, you know who you are and know we love you all so much.
