A message from the Town of Canton Fire & EMS to Canton Residents
As winter weather continues, the Town of Canton Fire & EMS is asking residents to help us keep our community safe by adopting a fire hydrant near your home.
If there is a fire hydrant on or near your property, please help keep it accessible after snow and ice events:
Remove all snow and ice from the hydrant
Maintain a 3-foot clear-away zone around the hydrant so firefighters have room to work
Clear a path from the hydrant to the street for quick access
Seconds matter during emergencies. Clear hydrants help us respond faster and protect lives and property throughout Canton.
Thank you for doing your part and supporting your local firefighters and EMS personnel this winter.

Merry Christmas from the Town of Canton Fire & EMS!
Our members are committed to serving the Canton community 24/7 — including holidays like today. This morning, our firefighters were out spreading Christmas cheer at Dish N Dat Eatery’s 5th Annual Christmas Meal & Toy Distribution.
Each year, Dish N Dat’s owner and volunteers provide approximately 500 hot meals to families in need, along with donated toys for children in our community. We’re proud to support such an incredible event.
A special thank you to Firefighters Brown, Ferrall, and Paydos for taking time away from their families to support this great cause and for bringing an engine onsite to make the day extra special for the kids.
A big thank you also to all of our members on duty today, ensuring the safety of our community while many celebrate with loved ones.
