Hi all!! Auntie Devin here, owner of Fancy Fiona’s. This is a ‼️PSA‼️ to all of the new clients coming in since Mikayla started working here. If you’re unaware, my beautiful, WELL MANNERED pit bull mix, Fiona, is ALWAYS on my couch up front, ready to greet people and their dogs coming in. She has ALWAYS done so since I opened 4 years ago. If you have a problem with the breed, with MY DOG, or with how I do things, please do not come into my shop. You are not welcome here and i say that as respectfully as possible. But this is MY dog, MY baby, MY grooming salon . We adore and cherish Fiona here. We also adore and cherish every dog that comes in! They are treated with so much love when they are with us 💜
Safety is a MAJOR concern of mine. That being said, IF the dogs get along, I DO NOT kennel them and I allow them to play while supervised, in the back room where mikayla and myself are present. Sometimes, it can get a little chaotic depending on the dogs energy levels. This is a grooming salon, not a military boot camp. And we have FUN here. We even allow the non-dog-friendly pups some play time alone while the others have a pause in the kennels. From day one, I have always told my clients that I want the dogs to be as happy as possible here. I don’t want to keep them in a kennel if I don’t have to. That’s why so many of the dogs aren’t stressed to be here!! We try to make their experience as positive as possible and Fiona will always be part of things until she draws her last breath and crosses the rainbow bridge. Thanks for listening.
