12 years ago Dr. Robinson open the doors of Complexions Dermatology to its first patient! In that time we have grown to three locations with nine providers, added Mohs surgery services and aesthetic suites. We continue to strive to provide the best patient care and experience. Complexions Dermatology would like to welcome Maggie Markie, FNP to our practice. Maggie will be working in our newest location in Greensboro, NC.

Maggie Markie, FNP has been a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University in Durham, NC. Prior to obtaining her masters, she practiced as a board certified medical/surgical registered nurse. Her scope of practice included acute and intermediate care settings on medical, surgical and oncologic units at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University healthcare systems. She was a medical assistant for 5 years in dermatology before earning her Diploma of Nursing from Watts School of Nursing in Durham, and holds a BA from UNC-Greensboro for her undergraduate curriculum.

Prior to joining Complexions in 2025, Ms. Markie worked as a family nurse practitioner at dermatology practices in southern and northern Virginia. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the North Carolina Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.

Her areas of clinical interests in medical dermatology include the diagnosis and management of hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous malignancies and psoriasis.

Outside of work, Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, hiking and traveling.

Team Complexions Dermatology Colonial Heights works hard and plays hard! The team enjoyed a nice night out in the heart of Old Towne Peterburg last night. We successfully escaped from the Area 51 and the Jekyll and Hyde Escape Rooms at Old Towne Escape and we finished the night at the Trapezium for some latin 🎶 music, drinks, and snacks!
