Zechariah 4:10 says, " Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..." Yesterday was my day of "small beginnings" as I stepped out into Facebook Live and attempted to broadcast my first ever virtual yoga practice. The video was recorded and you can watch any time, but it was only marginally successful - there were both audio and visual issues. Still, I am grateful to have put this stake in the ground - and I invite you to watch it anyway as it highlights the following practices we all so desperately need in these times:
- Progress over Perfection
- Releasing and Receiving
- LOOOONG Exhales, triggering our parasympathetic nervous system to self-sooth and calm
- Let the Lord "shape your worries into prayers" and settle you down into his peace, which passes human understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

Sweet friends, I am going to cancel my yoga class for March and see what happens in April.... but I hold you in prayer - as I do all in our community right now... And I invite you to take lots of deep slow breaths, to get comfortable with the stillness, to remember the vulnerable and to know that REST is always sacred. May this crisis serve to draw us closer to the Creator and each other in spirit...

We are in this together.

I call my Holy Yoga ministry "unforced rhythms" because your yoga mat is a sacred space to become aware, to listen, to receive, to accept... nothing forced... no judgement... just grace.
