Insurances are sending out their "Quarterly" newsletters / updates / Mass Updates.

Carelon sent one out today that basically just is reminding everyone -- UPDATE YOUR CAQH!!!

We personally have had a few former providers reach out to us wondering about things they have done and come to find out - the information hasnt been updated and thus created a lot of headache.
So PLEASE. Make sure that YOUR information is listed. Make sure that your PAST employers are removed from being active. Please make sure that your addresses are correct. Please Please Please!
Check your NPPES - NPI profile as well. Make sure your license has been updated everywhere. Your current liability insurance has been uploaded.
Availity is another site > if you havent logged in and updated that, do it! It also has to be accurate!
If you have taken a cultural competency course - update that (and if you havent -- then take one!)

I also spoke with Renee at Colorado Access > she said that they have updated some of the trainings they have as well. So she HIGHLY recommends that even if you are current > get on their site and take the trainings and updates!!

Medicaid also updates their things -- so go make sure you are up to date on their changes!

Audits are no fun but they are always going ot happen - so make sure that you are being compliant with the requirements so you dont have to do anything extra!!

My phone number has been spammed - it rings constantly. Out of 15 calls I have already received by 11am, only 1 has been a business call. I apologize to all that are impacted by this. I answer the phone and am on the phone a lot - but PLEASE leave a message or text me. I am getting a ton of spam messages, texts, calls, emails - but - if you dont leave a message, its even harder for me to figure out who is a legit person to call back. I'm not exaggerating, as I have typed this out - I Have had two additional spam calls :(

Everyone should have received correspondence from Carelon directly as well as Medicaid.

Effective July 1 the plan managers/regions are shifting!!!!!!

Received an Email Notice from Carelon today regarding the summer changes!!!

Notice of Termination of Behavioral Health Network

Dear Valued Provider,
Thank you for participating in the behavioral health network to provide services to Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) members. Effective July 1, 2025, Health Colorado, Inc. (HCI) will no longer contract with Health First Colorado as a Regional Accountable Entity (RAE). Additionally, Carelon will no longer manage the Medicaid behavioral health provider network for Northeast Health Partners (NHP).

Beginning July 1, 2025, the Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) boundaries for the RAEs will change as part of the transition to ACC Phase III. Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) and NHP will cover the counties previously served by HCI depicted in the table.

Beginning July 1, 2025, RMHP and NHP will share their behavioral health provider operations, meaning the following behavioral health processes will transition from Carelon to RMHP:

Behavioral Health and SUD provider contracting
Behavioral Health and SUD provider credentialing
Call center support
Prior authorizations
Claims processing
Utilization management

Next Steps

In the coming months, NHP and RMHP will share critical details about claims submission, key contacts, and other necessary information for the providers in their networks. Another awesome event coming this summer!!
Project Ember Initiative and Guided Waters Counseling partner together for this amazing summer group/program. They have been doing this now for a few years, it continues to grow and gets better every year!!

Some things they have done: pottery, tie-dye, ice cream, pizza, hiking, fort-building, water balloons and slip n'slides, lots of arts/crafts, woodworking, and various sensory creations. They do SOOO many things - and its all intertwined with therapy & skills - how to build relationships/socialization, communication, anger, regulation, learn new things, etc. I dont know all the "Things" they do - but its so awesome!! I overheard them talking today about some new things are they adding this year - I am so excited for it to start!!!!
