Anxiety can cause stomach issues and increase your heart rate. Depression can disrupt your sleep and eating habits. It is okay and necessary to take what you need. Taking what you need for yourself can help your relationships with both yourself and with others. When you can find and fulfill your needs, you care for yourself mentally and emotionally. When you care for yourself better, you can be a better person and have more energy to care for others.

Research shows prosocial after school activities are protective factors against youth delinquency and mental health issues. At the Patterson center, we host an after school program every weekday from 3:30-5:30pm. We teach skills, engage in fun activities, and build community.
