"I believe clients possess the solutions to their problems, but need tools, support, and confidence to make positive changes. I work with adults, individually or couples, for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief counseling, and relationship issues. Relationship problems arise when partners attempt to meet their needs, often at each other's expense. With proper tools and insight, clients strengthen the foundation of their relationship on shared values, identified needs, problem-solving/decision-making skills, and effective communication.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Choice Theory, and Grief Counseling interventions.
My passion is working with veterans, military members and their partners. After serving 23 years on active duty in the Air Force, I know the demands and challenges of military life. I am honored to serve the military community in a different role." ~ Daniel Hensley, LMFT

It is okay to advocate for yourself, identify and work on potential coping skills, and establish long term goals to help you not just feel better but get better. Being strong and pushing through is not a viable plan and in many ways can cause more harm. Need proof? Look around.

Hi there! My name is Kimbrlei, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor here to discuss the impact of diet culture on our overall well-being.

We are constantly inundated with messages encouraging us to try new cleanses or restrictive diets to achieve success. However, these practices often lead to obsession or disordered eating. It is important to remember that food is neutral, and you do not have to "earn" what you eat.

If you are ready to explore your relationship with food and move toward a healthier path, we are here to help. Give us a call at (719) 623 356.

Pausing to acknowledge wins, big OR small, goes a long way in creating balance, boosting confidence, and creating satisfaction.

🥁Why to Celebrate the WIns Along the Way🥁:
Boosts Motivation & Energy: Celebrating releases dopamine, creating a positive feedback loop that makes you want to continue working and tackling challenges.

Builds Confidence & Self-Worth: Recognizing accomplishments strengthens belief in your abilities and combats feelings of imposter syndrome.

Reinforces Positive Behaviors: It helps you identify what worked, encouraging you to repeat successful strategies and solidifying learning.

Today and everyday take time to pause and recognize these wins along the way.

This month, we encourage you to prioritize self-love. Practicing regular self-care improves your overall health and enhances your ability to show up effectively for yourself and others.

In our office, we practice self-care in various ways, such as taking walks with our pets, journaling, listening to favorite podcasts, or playing video games. We believe in the importance of taking time to reset and refresh, and we hope you will do the same.

When those plans go sideways, I encourage you to go with it, have an extra cup of coffee or glass of orange juice, yell "plot twist", and hit restart. Some of the best days look nothing like we imagined.

"If you’re reading this, you might be carrying more than you let most people see. Maybe you’re exhausted from holding it together, worried about your teen, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to walk through it alone. I’ve spent my 30+ year career sitting with people in moments of fear, grief, anger, confusion, and hope — and what I’ve learned is this: healing doesn’t come from being “fixed,” it comes from being understood and developing tools to help you get better.
I specialize in working with teens, especially those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, and behavioral challenges. I also work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by stress, substance use, or past experiences that still feel very present.
Whether you’re a teen who doesn’t know how to say what you’re feeling, or a parent who’s worried and trying to do everything right, you are welcome here. You don’t have to have the right words or a clear plan before you reach out. Just showing up is enough. When you’re ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you and help you find your way forward." ~ Kristen Withrow, LCSW
